Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains how E.S. Systems Ltd ("ES Systems", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on essystems.co.uk. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data more generally.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way. Some cookies are needed for a website to work. Others help us understand how the site is used, or let you use features provided by other companies.
Your choices
When you first visit our website, a banner asks whether you accept cookies that aren't essential. We don't set any non-essential cookies, or load the services that use them, until you say yes. You can accept all of them, reject all of them, or choose by category.
You can change your mind at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. If you withdraw consent for analytics, we delete the analytics cookies we set. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are needed for the website to work and to keep it secure, so they don't need your consent.
Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
es_systems_session | ES Systems | Keeps your session while you use the site, for example when you submit a form | 2 hours |
XSRF-TOKEN | ES Systems | Protects our forms against forgery attacks | 2 hours |
CookieScriptConsent | Cookie-Script, on our behalf | Remembers the cookie choices you made | 90 days |
Spam protection on our forms. When you start filling in one of our forms, we load Google reCAPTCHA. It checks that the form is being completed by a person and not an automated spam tool, and it isn't loaded until you use a form. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page and sends it to Google for this check. Google may set a cookie such as _GRECAPTCHA for this purpose. Google's use of this information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Analytics (only if you accept)
These help us understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are popular and how people find us, so we can improve it.
Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart so we can count them | Up to 400 days |
_ga_1XH59FF6WD | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your visit for our analytics | Up to 400 days |
Google Analytics isn't loaded at all unless you accept analytics cookies. If you decline later, we delete these cookies. We use the information to produce statistics about how our website is used.
Features from other companies (only when you choose to use them)
Feature | Provided by | What happens |
|---|---|---|
Live chat | uwebchat | The chat window loads only when you click the chat button. Once it's open, the chat provider may set its own cookies or storage. Anything you type into the chat is used to answer your question. The chat may ask for microphone access if you choose to use voice. Each page also loads the chat button's appearance (a style file) from uwebchat's servers; this sets no cookies. |
Maps | Google Maps | Our Contact page shows a "Show map" button. The map, and any Google cookies (such as NID), load only if you click it. |
Videos | Vimeo | Videos show a preview image hosted on our own site. The Vimeo player loads only when you press play, and we ask Vimeo not to track you ("do not track" mode). |
Other information our servers record
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers (Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare) automatically record technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site secure and working. It doesn't involve cookies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle this information.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever we change the tools we use on our website. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
