Sheepfolds Stables began life as stables for working horses and had fallen into disrepair. BDN, working under the guidance of Sunderland City Council, set out to turn it into a venue for local businesses and visitors as part of wider plans to regenerate the area. The biggest challenge was connectivity: the traders needed fast, reliable internet for cashless payments and point-of-sale systems.

Our team designed and installed:

• a network and Wi-Fi solution capable of supporting up to 1,800 users

• a 10Gb/10Gb leased line Ethernet circuit for the site's internet connection

• a fibre backbone for fast, stable connectivity across the site

• a 39-camera CCTV system with full site coverage, remote monitoring and intrusion detection
