Sheepfolds Stables, located in Sunderland, has a rich historical significance, originally serving as stables for working horses. Over the years, the site had fallen into desolation.
BDN under the guidance of the Sunderland City Council decided to transform Sheepfolds Stables in their plan to rejuvenate the area, including the former Vaux Brewery site.
The biggest challenge was ensuring the venue had fast, reliable internet connectivity to support all the businesses and visitors. Enter ES Systems.

BDN partnered with ES Systems to meet the critical IT needs of the Sheepfolds Stables project.
Our team developed a robust network and WiFi solution capable of supporting up to 1800 users, essential for cashless payments and point-of-sale systems.
We ensured high availability with a continuously operational network and installed a 10gb/10gb Lease Line Ethernet Circuit for super-fast internet.
Our technical approach included using a Ubiquiti Infinity Edgerouter for advanced routing, a fibre backbone for fast and stable LAN connectivity, and complete wireless coverage for thousands of connections.
We also installed a CCTV system with 39 cameras, providing full site coverage, remote monitoring, and intrusion detection.
